After arriving in Los Angeles, and achieving his Bachelor's degree at UCLA, he pursued production work in the booming Hollywood recording industry. With Noir Blanc Productions, he worked on recordings for Jody Watley, Andre Cymone of Prince's band, Mary Jane Girls, Teena Marie, Jesse Johnson of "The Time", Billy Preston, The Dazz Band, Parliament-Funkadelic, and Billy Idol. Subsequently, as songwriter and lead singer of his own band "DAY DREAM", Robby performed live on Natalie Cole's National TV show, and had the honor to work with Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, After Seven, Patti Labelle, and Whitney Houston. Although he has roots in Jazz and Soul music, Robby has always cultivated his knack to Rock, explosively illustrated in his band "ToolBox". Robby has produced several albums with "ToolBox" which charted top 10 in CMJ on the college music circuit.
