These early sketches showcase some emerging scores for large operatic, film, choral and symphonic works, in the grand tradition of Wagner and others.
Music and Story has been used together to inspire or formulate role models, exploring different belief systems, political and historic themes.
Some of the better musical films like 'Star Wars', Tolkien's 'Lord of the Rings' or Rodgers and Hammerstein's 'Sound of Music' have posed some interesting questions for our times, oft for mere entertainment, or for a gentle reminder of our history, but also causing a ruckus of debate among people. Therein lies some of the value proposition, in promoting such dialogue. Still there are other questions I'd like to pose via my works--compelling questions such as "What would our world be like if..."

Like Tchaikovsky's 6th symphony 2nd movement, this gives the feel of a 3/4 beat waltz dance, but is actually in 5/8 time. Arthur's taste for odd intertwined polyrhythms comes from his youth as a drummer and percussionist, plus penchant for playing music from the rock groups Rush, ELP, and jazz Brubeck's 'Take 5'.
