Fred Friedberg and Equinox is an uncomplicated jazz/easy listening quartet. Uniquely, the lead instrument is a clarinet, rather than the standard trumpet or sax. Describing itself as eclectic jazz, it ranges from standards to originals, latin to swing, funk to bop. Their original ballad, "Don't Push The River", has been called a moving, memorable, haunting instrumental love song. Their music was regarded as "terrific" by Eric Stern, multi- grammy and emmy nominee and winner. |

Artist History:
Formed in Florida 10 years ago, Fred Friedberg and Equinox has performed throughout the region at jazz festivals and clubs. Musicians in the band, or the band itself, have played or opened for the likes of Nat Adderly, Marcus Roberts, Louis Barbarin and Nestor Torres.
